Emerson's Garden Curriculum

Emerson’s outstanding feature is a rich set of curricula that takes students around the world, combined with a garden of crops designed to support core subjects.

Thanks to the dedication of one local Master Gardener, and to the active involvement of several Emerson teachers, the Garden Team has created a complex and rich set of curricular activities that are articulated to California State Standards.  The curriculum crosses grade levels and subject areas.

• 7th Grade Medieval History
• 8th Grade U.S. History
• 9th Grade Biology and Geography
• Other subjects: Math, Language Arts, Applied Arts
